Cover reveal for Two Roads by L.M.Augustine!

So my friend L.M.Augustine has a new NA novel coming out called Two Roads. I can't wait to get the ARC!! I'm excited to be a part of the cover reveal so without further ado, here it is...

Release date - August 26th

The only person poetry-loving Cali Monroe hates more than herself is Logan Waters, the geeky kid who lives in the dorm building next to hers.

Ever since Cali's parents told her she would amount to nothing, she has felt entirely inadequate. Friendless and alone, she takes on the mean girl role in hopes it will make her feel better--and Logan serves as the perfect target. He infuriates her with his obnoxiously long lashes, his all too perfect dimpled smile, and his complete lack of personality outside of his intelligence. It doesn't hurt that he's part of the reason her brother is dead, either. So Cali hates him, and he returns the favor. Thus, their prank-filled, insult-driven rivalry is born, and torturing Logan quickly becomes the highlight of her life.

But when Cali's parents set them up on a blind date, she begins to realize Logan might not be as boring as she always thought. He shares her love of poetry, takes a sadistic pleasure in making fun of crepes, and he makes her blush when he calls her smile pretty.

And hey, maybe those long lashes of his aren't that obnoxious after all…

Two Roads is New Adult Romance about finding love, standing out, and learning to embrace who you are. It contains some language and mild sexual content.

Just wanted to share this with you...
"There is something to celebrate about the cliffhanger, which makes visible the storyteller’s connection to his audience—like a bridge made out of lightning. They dare you to keep believing. If you trust the creator, you take that dare, and keep going."
So to conclude, please take the dare ;)

Book Spotlight & Interview - "His Wicked Games"

My lovely friend Ember Casey who is also the author of "His Wicked Games" featured me and "April Showers" on her blog a few weeks ago, you can check it out here -

But now it's my turn to interview Ember :)

1. Have you always wanted to be a writer? I'm not sure I knew I wanted to be a writer, but I've been writing since I was little. I still stumble across the stories sometimes. One of the earliest is called "The Candy Princess" and is about a princess who lives in a world of candy and...that's it. It took me a few years to figure out that whole "plot" thing.
2. How did you come up with the idea of His Wicked Games? This is a funny one, actually. Before I started writing His Wicked Games, I was working on a young adult novel--a retelling of a Scottish fairy tale that is basically a variation of Beauty and the Beast. I was trying for a very atmospheric, sensual tone, but my writing group kept telling me, "Um, Ember, this is WAY too sexual." Seriously--even during scenes that weren't supposed to be romantic. I'd be describing the sky or something and somehow I'd manage to have my critique partners blushing--not the effect I was going for with that story! So I decided to take that energy and get it all out--and thus I began His Wicked Games. It is, at its heart, a Beauty and the Beast tale (except, uh, the Beast has been replaced with a sexy billionaire). I don't market it as that because the story became so much more as I was writing it, but I have had a couple of readers contact me and tell me it reminds them of the fairy tale, so I guess its origins aren't entirely overshadowed.
3. Are any of the characters based on real people? ;) I wish! (Seriously, if Calder were a real person I'd eat him up, haha. It was so much fun creating my perfect, dreamy, fantasy guy on paper.) In all honesty, though, I think it's impossible for writers to create characters without adding snippets here and there of people they know, even if it isn't a conscious thing.
4. What is your writing process like? I do a ton of rewriting. I don't even really revise--I just rewrite my novel completely about fifteen times. Then when it's in a passable state, I send it out to beta readers and make changes based on their comments.
5. What are you working on now? I'm working on Truth or Dare, the sequel to His Wicked Games. There's no official release date yet, but right now I'm planning to have it out by the end of August.
6. What is your favourite ever book? That's a tough one! I will say, though--I recently read The Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin, and those books CONSUMED MY SOUL. Seriously, the man is brilliant. Ask any of my friends and they'll tell you--I'm the biggest Game of Thrones nerd ever. (And proud of it!)

7. And lastly, tell me something interesting about yourself! I know the lyrics to any Disney song you could throw at me. I can make a mean chocolate cake (and nice ones, too!). I'm left-handed, which means I'll probably die of some freak accident (but not before I visit every continent) :)

Thanks Ember!!
